Apopka Fair

This is information that should make the Fair an even better experience for you! Please read this carefully and if you have ANY QUESTIONS please call 407.889.0859 or any of the folks listed on the Main Page (menu selection on the left).

PAYMENT: Due to the unusually large demand for sites we are no longer holding sites. To secure your site choose either crafter/vendor and call the number below to pay with your debit or credit card.

REFUNDS: Also just a reminder that ALL proceeds are returned to the Apopka Area Community via programs administered by The Apopka Rotary, The Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce, and The City of Apopka. If you have paid to reserve space and cancel BEFORE January 1, 2008 you will receive a full refund. After that date there will be no refunds.

ARRIVAL: please go to the Information Center before unloading your vehicle. There you will check in, get parking and unloading passes, and any last minute information that you'll need. ALL CARS must be moved to the regular parking area after unloading (we have a section set aside for fair participants). The pass will also get you free parking there. Fair Staff may ask to see the pass at anytime during your load in or out. Please have it handy. ALL EVENT STAFF HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO REPORT VEHICLES NOT PROPERLY PARKED OR NOT DISPLAYING PROPER PARKING PASSES. THIS MAY RESULT IN A VEHICLE BEING TOWED AT THE OWNER'S EXPENSE.

SETUP:
--VENDORS AND CRAFTERS: All vendors or crafters in City of Apopka Northwest Recreation Facility will be open for business on Saturday (10am to 6pm) and Sunday (10am to 5pm). We have added some OPTIONAL hours for this year's Fair. They are Friday (5pm to 8pm) and Saturday (6pm to 8pm).
--FOOD VENDORS: Food vendors will also be open on Friday (5pm to 10pm)Saturday (10am to 6pm), and Sunday (10am to 5pm). You must provide a Certificate of Insurance naming The City of Apopka and The Rotary Club of Apopka as additional insured. The Florida Health Department will inspect you on Friday before opening. Please visit www.HospitalityEducation.org so you know what is expected. We suggest that you make arrangements to set up your site on Friday well before 5pm when the carnival rides open. The Apopka Police department will be there to provide continuous in-park security Friday and Saturday nights. If you plan to setup on Saturday morning please complete the process by 9:00 am. No cars will be allowed in the Park for any reason (except Apopka EMS or Fire emergency vehicles) on Saturday between the hours of 10am and 8pm and on Sunday between the hours of 10am and 5pm. NO EXCEPTIONS. If anyone wants to load in late or load out early they will need to carry their gear from/to vehicles.

OPEN TIMES: All crafter and vendors sites must be open and staffed on Saturday from 10am to 6pm and on Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Due to numerous requests we are providing OPTIONAL open times on Friday from 5pm to 8pm and on Saturday from 6pm to 8pm. Additional lighting is being provided in the park to allow for these extended hours. This includes the Event Vendors.

MARKETING: Unless you are a Fair Sponsor you are not permitted to engage in marketing activities outside of your site area. This includes flyers, signage, characters, or any other form of branding. If you have a question please check with the Information Center before proceeding.

MONEY COLLECTION: All crafter and vendors are responsible for collecting applicable sales tax and for the safe keeping of collected monies. The Fair Committee will not have facilities for the safe storage of valuables. There will be police on site continuously from Friday evening to Sunday afternoon. Please contact a policeman if you have a problem with a customer. Contact an Apopka Fair EVENT STAFF Member should you have a problem with the facilities. ALL food vendors (profit and non-profit) are required to comply with all Florida Department of Health permits and procedures.

SPACE: The Apopka Fair Committee is supplying you with a 12' x 12' site. You must supply any tents, shade, cover, tables, chairs, or display materials and they (including tent stays) must fit within the space allotted (unless you have reserved more than one contiguous space).

UPGRADES: Upon arrival Crafters and Vendors that have paid may ask for relocation to a site that has not been PAID. This will be handled at the Information Center.
